East Coast Cultural Association
The East Coast Cultural Association is proud to have among its members a vast think tank of distinguished elders from the community who have years of voluntary and social work experience. This is the result of active participation in the venerated traditions established by the first celebrants and torch bearers of Durga Puja in New York and in this country.
Key mission statement :
On behalf of East Coast Cultural Association, we call on the community of young ones and elders. We cordially invite you to join us in our events and celebrations throughout the year and share the joy, expertise ,and knowledge with us so that we can grow and mature into an exemplary association.
Our Protima (Idol)
Made in the birthplace of the 'Barowari' Durga Puja
It’s the festival every Bengali holds dearest to their heart. But how did #DurgaPuja acquire this status? It’s a tale of ancient battles, colonial triumphs, and finally a group of young men who decided they wanted to be part of the celebrations too
Charitable Partners
Mukhopadhyay Foundation
Human potential for intiative, thought, discovery and innovation is limitless. Mukhopadhyay Foundation aims to discover and nurture this raw potential among the Street and Working Children and convert them into individual excellence of young minds. This individual excellence in turn will transform collective consciousness of education and glorify India.
PI Kids
PI Kids Inc. is a non profit organization with a team of high school volunteers working on a
project organizing community outreach events to spread the STEM awareness in
underprivileged areas to bridge the Educational Equity Gap in US. We feel the STEM
resources are very limited in certain areas. We are hosting Raspberry PI workshops in
underprivileged areas to encourage students to gain interest in technologies.
